Almonds and oatmeal Face mask

face mask is particularly good for soothing and calming the skin. Make it up fresh.

  • ¼ tsp green clay
  • ½ tsp ground almonds
  • ¼ tsp ground oatmeal
  • 3 tbsp rosewater
  • 1 drop chamomile essential oil
  • 6 drops vitamin E oil (from capsules if you can’t get the pure liquid form)
  • 1 unbleached coffee filter paper

Blend the green clay,

almonds and oatmeal together well in a small glass or china dish. Now put the rosewater, chamomile and vitamin E in a small saucepan. Slowly heat this mixture, stirring gently. Filter it through a coffee filter paper and leave to cool.
Add 5 to 10 ml of the rose mixture to 2.5 ml of the blended dry ingredients, and mix well into a smooth paste. Apply a thin layer over your face, avoiding the area around the eyes. Put a little of the liquid rose blend on two cotton wool pads and place them over closed eyes. Leave for 10 minutes, then remove and wash off the mask with  water.
