Thyme against skin inflammation

Thyme compresses are very beneficial for oily skin. If your skin is oily try brewing one tablespoon of dry

thyme leaves and blossoms in 400ml (about one pint) of hot water for 10 to 15 minutes.

Dip a towel in this brew and place it over your face like a compress for 10-15 minutes.

 

And here you can find the recipe for a homemade thyme lotion which helps with eczema, acne and itchiness.

 

 

 

Ingredients:

 

1 teaspoon of thyme

 

½ cup of water

 

50g of unsalted margarine

 

10g of fresh butter

 

Brew the thyme in the hot water for 30 minutes. Strain. Heat the margarine  and butter together,

stirring constantly until they melt and add the reheated thyme brew.

Mix well and remove from heat.

Store in air-tight containers in a cool place.

Apply lotion to problem areas each evening after cleansing.
