Turmeric For Glowing Skin – Acne

Grandma Susan loves Turmeric not only for the skin but also for cooking.Grandma Susan said You should know when you put the mask on your face a yellow color will appear and you will see that you colored your skin yellow but don’t worry after washing your face good with warm water all the color will disappear just give it a small try on a small side of your face before you proceed with the mask . Turmeric is a good antioxidant, and an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial agent. Honey is also an anti-bacterial and it moisturizes the skin very well. Milk contains lactic acid, which is an alpha hydro acid and it exfoliates the skin. Together, these three ingredients make wonders for your skin.

Divas don’t put a lot of Turmeric it will make your skin yellow just a little bit but also don’t worry it will go away in the same day

 

Ingredients

1/4 teaspoon of turmeric or less if your skin is light
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of milk (or plain yogurt) I prefer yogurt

Optional ingredients to add –You can add to the above mixture 1 teaspoon of lemon juice (helps lighten the skin and good for oily skin) and/or a few drops of tea tree essential oil if you suffer from acne.

Put turmeric into a small bowl. Add honey , then add milk or yogurt. You can adjust the amount of milk or yogurt to make the paste more or less thick, but make sure it’s a firm paste that will stick to your face. Turmeric is a dye and it can stain anything, so you don’t want it dripping off your face.

Get Ready

Wash your face with running water and remove all makeup. If your hair is long, tie it up at the back. Wear a T-shirt you are not too attached to, in case it gets stained.

How to Apply:

Apply the mask evenly all over your face. A spot you don’t want to miss is under the eyes, as turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties help reduce the dark circles, which form as a result of vasoconstriction (narrowing of the vessels).

Let the mask dry on your face. This means leaving it on for about 20 minutes and then washing it off with cool water. Dry your face gently with a cloth.Repeat the mask over the course of a few days. You can do it every few weeks, depending on your needs and complexion.If you have some mask left over keep it in a dry jar put it in the fridge and use it after few days if you don’t use it throw it away .
