Glee Star Cory Monteith Dies at 31

Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead at Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel Saturday, Vancouver police confirmed in a press conference late Saturday night. He was 31.Born in Calgary, Monteith began his acting career in Vancouver, and was cast as Finn Hudson on the Fox musical series when it debuted in 2009.

Earlier this year, Monteith admitted himself into a facility for substance addiction, He was released in April.

According to police, the actor was out Friday night with friends and returned to his room alone in the early morning hours.

He died in his room on the 21st floor of the hotel, having checked in July 6. He was due to check out Saturday.

When he missed his scheduled checkout time at noon, hotel staff went in to check.

The cause of death was not immediately apparent. Police said there were no indications

of foul play vut would not discuss what, if anything, was found in room.
