Sarah Jessica Parker, fab star of “Sex and the City” dropping a new shoe line………….

Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that she will be creating a line of shoes, bags and trench coats for Nordstrom  in 2014.

Sarah Jessica Parker has teamed up with George Malkemus, CEO of Manolo Blahnik –

a brand that played a large role throughout the six seasons on the show.

Yesterday marked fifteen years since Carrie and her shoe collection hit our TV screens,

and to mark the occasion Sarah Jessica Parker announced that she is launching her very own shoe line, which will be called SJP.

SJP has called upon her shoe godfather Monolo Blahnik, as she is teaming up with the longtime CEO of the label George Malkemus

to create a line which will be sold exclusively in Nordstrom early next year.

Sarah Jessica Parker said to US Vogue ‘Because I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes,

and by default I learned an enormous amount. It’s hard to – no pun intended – walk away from that.

‘ It’s also clearly hard to walk away from Carrie Bradshaw’s love of word play.

Nordstrom EVP of the shoe division, Scott Meden, said to Grazia Daily about the collab:

‘We are thrilled to be partnering with Sarah Jessica Parker on the exclusive launch of SJP.

Based on her obvious personal connection to footwear, as a fashion icon in her own right and through

her leading role with Sex In The City, it seems like a natural progression that she is now turning her hand to design.

‘ He added ‘Her collection, made in Italy, offers women on-trend, beautifully crafted footwear at an attainable price point.
