Gluten free Cheesy Penne Casserole
Ingredients
- 8 oz Penne Pasta (gluten-free, if that’s your preference)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Boil penne according to package directions
- In a skillet, add onion and ground beef and cook until browned. Add spaghetti sauce, garlic, oregano and basil and stir until warmed through.
- Drain penne and pour into a 3 qt casserole dish. Top with meat sauce and stir until well combined. Top with mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with foil, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking another 5-10 minutes.
- To make a crispy cheesy crust, leave casserole in oven and turn on broil for 30-60 seconds, keeping watch. Don’t let it burn. Remove from oven and enjoy!
